In collaboration with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the National Mechanism for Monitoring the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Me-CDPD) provides the accessible version of the “National Strategy of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Vulnerable Adults.”
The Strategy is composed of three parts – Organization, Training, and Cooperation – and aims to optimize the work of public prosecutors by enhancing their skills and good practices, promoting interdisciplinarity, and safeguarding the rights of vulnerable adults, in particular the right to active participation in legal proceedings and respect for the autonomy of will.
Each part includes a list of activities designed to achieve its respective goals. Finally, a calendar of the Strategy is presented, divided by semesters, indicating the main objectives for each period.
