On December 29, the manual “Overcoming the challenges of the professional integration of young people with disabilities – best practices on the ground” was presented by EPIS at Culturgest.

This manual serves as a guide that brings together strategies implemented on the ground, real-life cases, and objective recommendations aimed at supporting public and private employers in creating inclusive employment opportunities. EPIS also intends to meet with various relevant entities to put this objective into practice.

The presentation programme included an opening session, a presentation of the manual by the authors, Sofia Sousa e Silva and Suasana Lavajo, and a debate panel, ending with an address by the Secretary of State for Social Action and Inclusion, Dr. Clara Marques Mendes.

The debate panel included several entities, such as Porto Editora, the Jerónimo Martins Foundation, El Corte Inglés, ODED – Operação Emprego para Pessoas com Deficiência (Employment Operation for People with Disabilities), and the ODDH – Observatory on Disability and Human Rights, represented by its Coordinator, Professor Dr. Paula Campos Pinto.
