The Disability and Human Rights Observatory (ODDH) is organizing the ODDH Meeting – “1974–2024 | From Invisibility to Citizenship: What About the Rights of People with Disabilities?”, which will take place online on December 13th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
With this Meeting, the ODDH joins the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the April 25th Revolution to reflect on the achievements in the field of human rights brought about by the establishment of democracy in Portugal for people with disabilities and their families, as well as the agenda that remains unfinished.
We aim to listen to — and amplify — the voices of those who, over the past 50 years, have helped break the invisibility and affirm the citizenship of all people with disabilities, while envisioning with them the challenges that lie ahead.
The ODDH Meeting is open to all interested participants, particularly people with disabilities, representatives of organizations of and for people with disabilities, researchers, public policy makers, and others interested in disability and human rights.
Participation is free of charge, but prior registration is required (by December 12th).
