On May 16th, ISCSP-ULisboa welcomed a delegation from the Federal Government of Rio de Janeiro and the Leão XIII Foundation, as part of the activities developed by the Disability and Human Rights Observatory (ODDH).
The visit, organized at the request of the Brazilian Embassy in Portugal, included the presence of Luciana Martins Calaça, President of the Leão XIII Foundation, which is part of the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro, along with Cláudia Simões Carvalho (Vice President of Social Assistance) and Maria Fernanda Brown da Silva (Superintendent of Specialized Assistance).

Following a technical meeting with the ODDH team to learn about the activities carried out in the areas of research, information/training, and policy advice on disability, the delegation was also received by the President of ISCSP, Full Professor Ricardo Ramos Pinto, to explore possibilities for future collaboration between the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro, the ODDH, and more broadly, ISCSP.

As a result of this meeting, further contacts are being made in order to formalize partnership agreements.
