Applications are now open for the Specialized Training Course in “Professional Inclusion of People with Disabilities”, within the scope of the Disability and Human Rights Observatory (ODDH), organized by the Institute for Social Intervention and Policies (IIPS), a unit of ISCSP-ULisboa.
This course aims to help participants develop skills that enhance and facilitate the professional inclusion and retention of people with disabilities in public, private, and non-profit organizations, thereby promoting their employability.
Specific Objectives
- Promote an understanding of disability based on the social and human rights model, and recognize its relevance to public employment policies;
- Provide context on the situation of people with disabilities in the labor and employment sector in Portugal, and share relevant information on national support measures to foster professional inclusion;
- Equip participants for hiring people with disabilities, offering insights into their skills and the benefits of professional inclusion, as well as providing practical tools and talent management strategies.
Target Audience
Professionals from the public, private, and non-profit sectors, including top and middle management and employees directly involved in recruitment, selection, and career management functions.

Operating Conditions
Each curricular unit consists of 3 to 6 contact hours (36 total teaching hours), with each class lasting 3 hours.
Classes will be held twice a week, on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the course will operate in an online/distance learning format. Sessions will be conducted via the Zoom Cloud Meetings platform, which can be downloaded from app stores (for mobile devices) or from the official website (for computers), free of charge.
