Change from in-person to online format due to bad weather.

Due to the adverse weather conditions caused by heavy rain in the Lisbon area today, December 13th, and in order to ensure everyone’s safety, the organizers of the VI ODDH Meeting have decided it’s more prudent to hold the event “Breaking the Invisibility: Talking about the Human Rights of Girls and Women with Disabilities” exclusively online.

The Observatory on Disability and Human Rights (ODDH/ISCSP) will hold its 6th Meeting titled “Breaking the Invisibility: Talking about the Human Rights of Girls and Women with Disabilities” on December 13th, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, via Zoom (link at the end of the page).

As part of the event, the sixth edition of the report “Persons with Disabilities in Portugal – Human Rights Indicators 2022” will be publicly presented. Based on secondary data sources, this report compiles key statistical information on disability in Portugal in the following areas: Discrimination, Education, Work and Employment, and Social Protection and Living Conditions.

This initiative also aims to promote reflection and debate on the rights of girls and women with disabilities, a topic that has received limited visibility and public attention.

Participation in the event is free, but registration is required via the link at the end of the page.

We look forward to your participation!

Notes:

  •  Portuguese Sign Language interpretation will be provided (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM).
  •  The session will be recorded and later made available on the ODDH YouTube channel, where closed captions (subtitles) can be activated.
